Video/Taco Bell Athlete of Week #2: Hilmar RB Justin Rentfro Provides A Glimpse of What to Expect Next Season

High school football in The 209 and an education, it’s a great combination.
That’s the message that Taco Bell is promoting, with Black Hat Football, as we prepare for the 2016 season. We’ll select 3 Taco Bell Athletes of the Week each Monday during the football season, through the Sac-Joaquin Section Section playoffs, and each earns a $20 gift card for tasty treats and a Taco Bell Athlete of the Week patch.
Though his Yellowjackets ended their season with a heartbreaking, 53-52 double-OT loss to Strathmore in a play-in game to reach a NorCal Bowl, Rentfro finished his junior year with a strong finish.
The 6-foot-1, 205-pound runner had 17 carries for 143 yards and 2 touchdowns in the loss, also catching an 11-yard pass. Rentfro is part of all-junior RB tandem with Isaac Sharp (1,329 yards rushing, 13 TDs) and ran for 711 yards and 4 TDs, averaging 6 yards a carry.
While you’re here, check out Rentfro’s tape from the Sac-Joaquin Section semifinal, when he ran 13 times for 109 yards and a TD to upset rival Escalon.
