HERE ARE OUR 2017 WINNERS

Here are the winners for Week 7: One watched a close game, the other saw a blow out.

Julian Wren of Turlock and Matthew Tate of  Manteca tweeted from Oct. 6 games.

Wren tweeted in scores from the Pitman Pride’s 39-0 shutout of the Atwater Falcons.

“I love high school football because it is local and it is great to see the kids compete,” Wren says. “There is not the baggage one may see at the college and NFL level. I follow Pitman football as my son is a WR there. I also follow Jesuit High School in Carmichael where I played.

”

Tate tweeted videos and scores from the Lathrop Spartans’ 21-20 victory over the Sierra Tumberwolves.

“I love high school football because it gives student athletes the opportunity to grow from boys into men,” Tate says. “They learn the importance of hard work, sacrifice, and teamwork.”
