Taco Bell Athletes of the Week

High school football in The 209 and an education, it’s a great combination.
That’s the message that Taco Bell is promoting, with Black Hat Football, as we prepare for the 2016 season. We’ll select 3 Taco Bell Athletes of the Week each Monday during the football season, through the Sac-Joaquin Section Section playoffs, and each earns a $20 gift card for tasty treats and a Taco Bell Athlete of the Week patch.
The junior had a night to make any quarterback salivate, piling up 431 yards offense and accounting for 7 touchdowns in the Eagles’ 72-48 shootout over Chavez in a San Joaquin Athletic Association opener. Lara completed 14 of his 30 throws for 342 yards, with 5 TDs and 2 interceptions, and he ran 6 times for 89 yards and 2 more TDs. Check out his game above.
Lara’s top targets were Andrew Hem (6 catches, 155 yards, 2 TDs) and Isaiah Redic (4, 111, 2). McNair (3-3, 1-0) visits Edison (4-2, 0-1) Friday night at 7:15 p.m.
