Orestimba High continues to enjoy its time in the Southern League, pushing this season’s overall record to 6-0 thanks to this weekend’s 52-6 win over Le Grand — the Warriors have now outscored their league foes by a combined 133-14.

The Warriors have won back-to-back league titles, going 7-0 both times, and have won 17 straight league games. After struggling early this century, one winning season from 200-2013, the Warriors are 30-8 since being realigned into the SL.

Orestimba is 3-0 in league and looks to be headed to a Week 11 showdown with West Side rival Gustine (5-1, 3-0).

Check out the big night from Orestimba’s Tyler Vargas, a 5-foot-7, 150-pounder who is lining up in the slot. Two of the TDs on his tape were nullified by penalties, but he’s slippery in the open field after he catches that quick hitch pass. He caught 4 passes for 162 yards, with the two TDs.

Jacob Bettencourt completed 11 of 17 for 227 yards, with 3 TDs and an INT, whie Tymon Bolden was busy with 20 carries for 110 yards and 3 TDs. Orestimba could be a Division 6 team in the playoffs, though it’s ikely on the D5/D6 bubble.
