Taco Bell Athletes of the Week

High school football in The 209 and an education, it’s a great combination.
That’s the message that Taco Bell is promoting, with Black Hat Football, as we prepare for the 2016 season. We’ll select 3 Taco Bell Athletes of the Week each Monday during the football season, through the Sac-Joaquin Section Section playoffs, and each earns a $20 gift card for tasty treats and a Taco Bell Athlete of the Week patch.
2017 TACO BELL ATHLETES OF WEEK SEVEN
WR HUNTER FALCONI, OAKDALE MUSTANGS
With some help from quarterback Marc Dickson, the senior took Oakdale High’s vaunted Wing-T to a new level in Friday’s critical 36-15 Valley Oak League over Manteca, with career highs of 8 catches for 155 yards and two TDs. His 22-yard score gave Oakdale a 15-8 lead it would ever relinquish, then Falconi sealed the deal with a 47-yard TD catch in the fourth quarter to make the score 29-8.
The Mustangs typically rely on their physical running game to run away from foes in the second half, and there was plenty of that, as well. RBs Cameon Cherry and Josh Jacobson combined for 44 yards and 270 yards – much of it coming after Manteca’s defense backed off the line in an attempt to defend the pass.
